Dual spec @_@

Woot Dual spec soon. I can plop my paladin into tank/dps mode, my moonkin into aoe/grind mode or raid/boss mode, my hunter can have a beastmaster and a flavor of the moment spec and the rest really don't need more than one spec.

Ether Saga o_O

So, been trying out Ether Saga and I have a slew of characters in queue to be deleted (HATE!). Apparently you have to choose your characters birthday carefully as it activates certain skills and the distribution of points effects your skills but not how you think. For some reason the critcast stuff seems to belong to melee and the crit is for casters but everything needs int? It's making me dizzy, I really think there needs to be some kind of free stat reset thing. Also quests need to reward some $$$ as it sucks to look at your moolah 300 kills later only to have 6 silver... about 2-3 of which goes towards buying your pets some biscuits. My highest level so far is a 13 mystic which I'm going to have to remake too because I listened to someone and apparently botched up point distribution because of it.

I think I can do fairly well with quests the next time around since I found about 4+ quests to kill the same mobs 10, 15, 20 and 40 times. Back to the point distribution though I seem to be getting further confused by the fact that apparently choosing matching elements that your spells use also makes those spells stronger. o_O But some give melee stats so... I'll just give it 6 days to delete the first batch of characters then read up to see what the heck I'm supposedly supposed to be doing.

*click* *close* *wrap* *shove* done.

Finished off today with cleaning counters, vacuuming and then doing a deep clean on some of the carpets. Really need to deep clean some of the main walkways more, it was scary watching all the dark water getting sucked up.

Today is the arrival day, so in about 8 hours our exchange student will arrive. Another perfectly wet rainy day too. ^_^ I know people always think of California as some sunny paradise area but it's days like these that I love. It's nice to have plants that aren't all crispy brown. lol

Now to do some daily quests on WoW and look at more computer things to drool over (like the mouse I saw with 15 buttons).

I'm sore from cleaning now and that whole anything that can go wrong will go wrong is coming into effect. The email server is down atm and we're expecting info to be emailed to that for the exchange program. >_< I'm also out of cookies. Ok, that's only two things but dammit I really wanted some cookies.

*cough* So anyway, I'm on a break and decide to check mmo-champion for goodies on the next patch. The only thing for moonkins is a temp health buff talent in the feral tree that gives some additional health now applies to owl form. Lame. However... a very interesting link that caught my eye and wasn't talked about in the posts, Blizzard has ripped up the nice people that made Glider (widely used botting program). *cheer* The creator was made personally liable for it too. :D

And now... back to cleaning. *pout*
nagrand

Semi-lazy day.

It's raining today, I'm in a relaxed mood. While cleaning out one of the rooms we'll have the guest in, I broke someone's ceramic collectible turtle. The whole turtle tribe was buried on a bottom shelf, half of them not in the upright position, so I went ahead and tissued/boxed them up and will plop the broken one in with'em when I find the super glue. There's so much like those turtles around the house. Things we've grabbed over time because they look neat and we have to have them, only to get stuffed places they can't even be seen. I think it's time to try and push towards getting maybe one big neat looking thing that we can find an open area for vs a half dozen little things that fall over and break or just get buried.

For now I'm going to get a nice hot mug of tea brewing and do some daily quests on WoW. I need a little break from having a nose full of dust and cleaning chemicals.

Something lethal down the line...

I found the old steam "thingy" out in the garage, alas the only attachment it had was the tiny brush. I hate using it because we lost the instructions and the thing has 4 switches with no text. Really, it needs an on switch and a steam trigger. I got a lot of grossness off the base of the shower, the tub however had grout peel away while I was attempting to steam it. The shower door after being steamed still has residue from hard water buildup so I spritzed some zap on it, which sent me on a coughing spree. It did fizzle when it hit parts with buildup which I hope is good. That's the last thing I have to count on before I just give up and accept that the clear doors have so much hard water buildup that you can't see through them.

Edit: Zap got a large portion of the problem cleaned up. While it's not perfect, it looks fairly clean now. One more batch of crappy plexi-glass to go, but not tonight. I'm tired, I'm hungry and Eagle Eye came in the mail... so I NEED to put off doing things of value and watch that.
nagrand

Chemical high...

I just couldn't figure out exactly what to do with the office space today so I moved on to working on the bathrooms. At this point I really like the office more. I've spent all day trying to clean a shower door. Magic Eraser didn't work, magic eraser with dishwashing detergent didn't work, comet didn't work, hot vinegar didn't work, windex didn't work, 409 didn't work... I'm about to attempt the sledgehammer method and explain to the insurance people that the shower door just randomly imploded. I dislike hard water stains greatly. To make it even more fun, I can't just scrub the outside of the door because smart people built the house with carpet in the bathrooms.

Next up is the toilets, at least those are easy enough to clean.

Winding down for the day.

Well the desk is all dusted off, as is everything on it. Lots of nice clear desktop to work on. The floor on the other hand is a death trap at the moment. :B I found a whiteboard buried in the closet that I might make use of if I can find somewhere to put it. I'm just tossing all the old software, especially the stuff that promotes itself as being windows95 ready! hehe.

Suppose with some help I can get this fat blob of a tv out to an area where it can be donated. Someone's going to have a hissy fit about it sitting around until it gets picked up, but it'll never get donated if it stays here.

By tomorrow I should have this area done and can move on to the next area. o_o
nagrand

Getting there...

Unloaded the cds, gutted half the closet of stuff that can be scrapped or donated immediately and plopped the stereo in the open space. I've removed the dead monitor I never sent in to be fixed from the desk and have a bunch of random junk to sort out now. It's kind of sad seeing all the dust that's gathered up over time. Parts of the desk look like someone just grabbed a pile of soft dirt and tossed it on. Other parts have a thin layer in places I just dusted. >_< It's ridiculous how fast it accumulates.

About 10 minutes left on the laptop then I can package it up and get that out of here. The office looks like it was hit by a tornado, but I guess when cleaning it has to get worse before it can get better.

:( I just found Kipling's collar buried behind a box. I really should throw it out. He's gone... it's just hard to let go of those little pieces sometimes. I still have some pictures that were on the old laptop to remember him.

Time to get back to work I suppose, but first I'll stall a bit longer and grab some lunch. Should give me time to figure out where I'm going to put all this stuff before I donate it.
nagrand

Progressing slowly...

Well the office is progressing slowly. Got all the paperwork filed away finally and decided to start into preparing the old laptop to leave the nest. I found a nice free hard drive wiping utility and plopped that onto a floppy then gave it a reboot with the floppy in. A couple hours to wipe the hard drive clean a few times and I shouldn't have to worry about people digging up old data. I have all the paperwork, OS and programs/drivers for it still so I can send it off to still be usable. The only problem is it needs a new battery and it has win2k. Other than using it for an office computer it's basically worthless these days.

While that's running I'm going to purge my cds from the stereo system and get that set to go. There's so much junk in here and it's going to be nice to have a bit of desk space... which I know I'll fill up within a week of having it.

not so Wooo, day of stuff...

Been gutting out the office area today. Although I managed to take out 3 boxes, end up with a pile of papers almost the same size as what I started with and I may have killed the shredder. I didn't realize exactly how many credit card applications and domain renewal (rip off scammmers) forms I had saved up. I must have thrown out about 70 fake credit cards, about just as many fake airplane tickets and from all the shredding I had to do, the shredder overheated and I had to wait an hour to finish shredding.

I have a pile of bank statements to organize and file, but that won't take quite so long since I'm halfway through them. I wish I'd just keep up with the statements as they came in, but it's far to easy to just set them aside and let them pile up. I also have a closet full of crap to sort through so I can make use of the space. I haven't opened the damn thing for almost a year, so obviously nothing in it has been of any use. Time to clean house a bit.

It's also time to take care of some electronics that are sitting around. I need to get rid of the 60 cd changing player I have now that everything's been converted to mp3s. That's 2 speakers and a huge stereo not eating up space. Then there's the broken flatpanel I never sent in to be fixed... now it's out of warranty. I also have the big chunky tv that makes a nice high pitched tone to donate. I suppose it's really time to erase everything on my old dell and toss that too, I'm just paranoid about info being left on. Will have to look up how to "super format" it tomorrow.

I also need to pick up some camera cleaning supplies because my poor mega camera I got awhile back is coated in a nice thick layer of dust. I had a case for it but the thing fit so tight I was worried it'd break the camera. I should find just a cheap puffy black bag with a velcro flap or something for it. If it's not convenient I'm not going to use it.

After all that is taken care of I get to dust... I loathe dusting because three days later it's layered back on everything. One of those washable air purification systems would be nice but whenever I look them up I get scared away by buzzing noises and special cleaning instructions as well as random jargon like ozone.

Time to go snag some dinner and then get back to work...

woooh, day'o'nothing!

Today has sucked. The winds picked up and California winds = hellish unrefreshing gusts of air and my sinuses hitting me like someone taking a pitchfork to my brain (which is what it felt like). I woke up early feeling nauseous and then spent a couple hours just trying to get back to sleep. I was stuffed up and my head felt like it wanted to split open. I finally gave in and popped a couple advil then dosed off a bit. Woke up feeling a little better but the headache was returning and my stomach was churning something awful. This carried out on through the day. I tried to play WoW to take my mind off it, but it didn't help much.

I felt a little bad because I got invited to do a 10 man naxx run, but that didn't work out. Right after someone asked if I'd dps a run, but by that point I was starting to feel another wave of "fun" coming over me so I declined and logged. I've avoided about 3 of this same person's runs because their timing has just been really really bad. I really hope they don't take it personally.

Ooh and I had a fun dream last night. I was lying down and flipped over. Right as I did, a spring from the bed burst through the top and into my stomach. Why can't I just have nice dreams about floating around paradise with a tribe of beautiful women feeding me fresh produce?

Ugh, time to try and get some decent sleep tonight. If it's windy and people decide it's a good idea to open some windows so the fresh breeze can get in again I'm going to hurt someone.

iTunes... diff song plz.

I've been skipping over a song I bought from itunes a few days ago since I got it. I finally just went in and reported that I'd like a refund for it. I'm not going to put up with buying songs for the preview only to detest the full song because the preview didn't portray what the song is really about. In this case it was a remix of a song where NONE of the previews for remixes or original had vocals, but after downloading it the vocals started up. Horrible, creepy vocals with some guy that can't decide to just speak them or attempt to sing along.

It's only $1, but I'm starting to run into more and more deceptive previews and it adds up after awhile. I'd like to be spending that money on songs I won't be skipping over.

Edit: Got credit for one song, removed the trash song and got one I enjoy listening to. Also left a review for cruddy one to warn people before they buy it.

Step away from the $&*#ing doorbell.

Partially my own fault, I stayed up late thinking I would get to sleep in. Since about 8 am the doorbell has been ringing non-stop. Between churchies trying to convince me god is the way to go, random people/kids trying to sell stuff and family locking themselves out I've had to go to the door about 9 times now. *pout* I just want to get some sleep so it doesn't feel like someone jabbed a safety pin under my eyes.

ps. Those itunes 30 second clips can go to hell. I got about 7 songs last night and one I thought I'd really enjoy cuts into some pervy smoker guy in the middle of a nice tune. Why the heck do people ruin perfectly good songs like that? :(

Change != Good

Argh, so I get to move things to a new server again since the server company is forcing upgrades and they like to push higher fees right after this type of thing. Found a new company to go with but changing servers with a group of people involved can be a hassle. Have to sort out the space, ips, transfer accounts, check to make sure they're working, update the dns, update the nameservers and then go through and make sure everything in cpanel/whm is correct. I still don't really care for cpanel and whm. There are features to it I like but it just gets overwhelming at times looking over all the features.

Someone has a voodoo doll of me with lots of pins...

I've lost a good chunk of sleep the past couple days because of being so watchful for returning coyotes. The small dog was having coughing problems late last night and then had to go out, so I had the flashlight, the leash and my can full of pennies all set when we ventured out into the yard. It's really stressful when you don't feel a sense of safety in your own yard. I felt a little more at ease when the only thing the flashlight picked up on were a couple rabbits that dart at the smallest sign of another species. Of course that just means we have a buffet setup in the back of the house.

To add in with all that fun, the kitchen sink decides to play "let's not drain the water" today. The baking soda and vinegar mixture didn't help and about 3/4 of a bottle of liquid plumber didn't do a damn thing two hours later. I even went at it with a plunger but with 3 openings, it was just swapping water between them instead of sucking out whatever the clog is. That doesn't mean I didn't get tons of wonderful looking black/grey bits of matter to wipe up though. blech.

While I was dealing with that, Sabrina (small dog) managed to get a bug bite or something in her eye which caused the outside to puff up. dripped some water from a washcloth into her eye and wiped it down a bit then gave her a children's benadryl melty strip to help with any allergic reaction. After a couple hours she was back to normal.

The sink finally drained out and we'll have to get someone to snake it out soon. Almost thinking of investing in one with the number of times this has happened. Most of the afternoon was wasted away dealing with it so I had forgotten to snag the mail. Went out to get it late and as I was coming back in a rabbit jumped out of the bush right in front of me. Scared the hell out of me, but I started to get my senses back when I saw what it was. Of course I assumed I scared it, when *PHOOOOM* out of the bush, nearly nailing me comes a cat. My nerves are about to hire a hitman to take me out. I got inside quick after the cat, not wanting to see what critter was going to rush out next.

I'm hoping this isn't going to keep a solid pace because the coyote alone was enough excitement, I really don't need a constant supply critters coming after me.

and instead of going to sleep...

Did a quick search online to try and find the number for animal control here. No luck but I did find some information stating that Fish & Game is in charge of the coyotes and that both animal control and fish&game won't do anything unless there is a direct, immediate threat to people. :|

*_* nuuu make it go away...

So I'm alone with the pups tonight and decide to watch Jurassic Park 2 on sci fi. The bigger dog needs to go out, meanwhile the smaller one decides to head for bed. About 20 seconds after I let the big one out I hear him start romping around and barking. I look out and for some reason he's staying on the paved area instead of chasing after the bunny I think he just saw. So I go out to get him and as soon as I step out I see a huge shadow slip behind a tree to the back of the lawn. I about swallowed my tongue as my heart plunged into my stomach.

I couldn't convince the big guy to come in so I went and snagged a flashlight and shined it over near the tree. Staring back at me was a rather tall somewhat beefy looking coyote. He wasn't coming closer and he tried scampering away from the light so he seemed scared of me. My problem is I've had a large fear of wolves/coyotes since I was small. So after I finish being paralyzed looking at this thing for a couple minutes I snap out of it and dart over to drag the dog in by the collar since he's ignoring me yelling and cussing at him to get in the door.

I spent a good 10 minutes looking through the phone book for animal control but couldn't find the number. I then just gave up on it and took two flashlights out to look around. I didn't see anything and I could hear a group of coyotes howling in the distance (a close distance, but nothing emanating from the yard). For the next few days I'll be escorting the pups out when they need to go. I feel a bit odd wanting to call animal control over this as it doesn't seem there's much they can do. Coyotes are a part of living in this area, their habitat is just across the road and our fence is more inviting than it should be. If they trapped it and released it, all they'd really be doing is helping an old coyote across the street.

Guess I'll get some sleep so I can be awake when I take the dogs out instead of just wobbling over to the door with one eye open and letting them out.

Outlet Malls o_O

So we went out shopping at an outlet mall today. I found it funny that half the stores carried about 10 brands of shoes and/or clothing, only to have the brand's store not 3 shops away with the same items for $30 less along with a buy one get the next item half off deal. Didn't really get much, even with the sales the prices were still a little insane. $70 sandals, no thx.

I got most of my shopping done via amazon.com, which is extremely convenient. Just have to wait for the orders to arrive. I had a bit of a laugh cause the only item on backorder was the first part of my order to ship and the only part of the order to arrive so far.

Back to picking through itunes for a really good carol of the bells.
